Mardi Gras with The Brizz

An evening celebrating shrove tuesday/ Mardi Gras/ Carnival with The Brizz + support from Skye Wind Band. Originating as a side project of Edinburgh’s Orkestra Del Sol, The Brizz developed from a shared love of Brazilian Forro music. A style of music and dance from North-Eastern Brazil, Forro (pronounced Fo’Ho) combines tight percussion grooves with accordion, fiddle and call and answer vocals. The Brizz have been cultivating their sound for over 15 years, mixing in Samba, Cajun, and Scottish influences to produce an uplifting live show that is guaranteed to get the crowd singing and dancing along.
